  • CD45RC, clone RPI/12 is a mAb intended for the identification/enumeration of pre-B lymphocytes, B cells using FCM. This reagent is effective for direct IF staining of human tissue for FCM analysis using ≤1 μg/106 cells.

This antibody reacts with CD45RC on pre-B lymphocytes, B cells, CD8+ T suppressor/cytotoxic cells and a subset of CD4+ T helper (Th) lymphocytes. It weakly reacts with thymocytes. Levels of expression of CD45RC have also been reported to distinguish resting from activated T cells at various stages of maturation. The CD45 isoforms play complex roles in T-cell and B-cell antigen receptor signal transduction. CD45RC subsets within the CD4 and CD8 T cell compartments exhibit different cytokine profiles, and that their relative proportion is variable from one individual to another.
