Immunogen: Raised against an 18 amino acid peptide near the carboxy terminus of human CAZIP.

Formulation: Supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
Storage: Can be stored at -20?C, stable for one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
Function: Binds microtubules. Together with MAPRE1 may target the microtubule depolymerase KIF2C to the plus-end of microtubules. May regulate the dynamics of microtubules at their growing distal tip (By similarity).
Tissue Specificity: Expressed in heart from early embryonic development onwards. Later during embryonic development, expressed in brain and nervous system, in limb buds and in the epithelium lining the bronchia of the lung. Detected in ***** brain, heart and eye, but not detected in other ***** tissues examined.
Sequence Similarities: In the C-terminal section; belongs to the MTUS1 family.
Cellular locations: Cytoplasm > Cytoskeleton.

Associated with the microtubule network at the growing distal tip (the plus-end) of microtubules.
